Road - NYC, New York 3/7/03Absolutely one of the best clubs in NYC. Afroskull returns to rock at the 'Road for Matt Barone's Grand Finale. Special guest Afroskull keyboardist Matt Iselin sits in and percussionist Seth Moutal manages to operate FOUR congas(!). Starring Afroskull's common 2001-02 6 piece line up with Nick Volz on trumpet and Mike Jenner on sax. Photos by Bob Compton [website] CD Release Party @ Tipitina's - New Orleans, Louisiana 10/5/00 16 photos from the "Monster For The Masses" CD release party, staged at Tipitina's Uptown. Special effects included fog, a seven piece horn section, Godzilla and fist-pounding funk rock. Chuk Barber on percussion and a 5 piece horn section including Brent Rose and Mike Jenner (saxes), Eric Lucero and Nick Volz (trumpets) and trombonist Jason Yasinsky. Special guest musicians included saxist Jason Mingeldorff (Papa Grows Funk, New Orleans Nightcrawlers) and New Orleans trombonist super-hero, Mark Mullins (Harry Conick Jr., Bonerama, Mulebone, and many more...).
